About Bajaj Kratos VS400

Preview

Bajaj stunned everyone at the 2014 Auto Expo by unveiling its brand new cruiser concept, the Pulsar VS400. Touted to be the first cruiser in the Pulsar range, it blends the quintessential Pulsar styling cues with considerably bigger proportion.

The Pulsar VS400 gets a very aggressive front with a new curvy headlamp. The muscular tank adorns the motorcycle's digital instrument console. The Pulsar VS400 is powered by a 375cc single-cylinder engine which shares its basic architecture with the one in the KTM Duke 390. While Bajaj has released no details on the engine specifications, we expect this engine to churn out at least 40bhp. While the concept featured upside down forks, the test mules came equipped with traditional telescopic ones, a step taken to keep costs in check.

With the bike's testing going on in full swing, the Pulsar VS400 is expected to hit the showrooms by June 2016. In terms of the pricing, the Pulsar VS400 will demand a premium over the other regular Pulsar models and we expect it to be priced between Rs 1.7 lakh and Rs 1.9 lakh.

KTM DUKE 390 2017

                                            KTM DUKE 390 2017

The present day Duke 390 and Duke 200 are pretty much on par on the feature front. However, to further differentiate them, KTM will offer an all-new full-color LCD instrument cluster on the 2017 Duke 390, whereas the 2017 Duke 200 would continue with the present day Orange backlit cluster.
Another area where the Duke 390 will be superior to the Duke 200, aside from the engine, is in the suspension setup. According to the report, the 2017 Duke 390 will get separate function forks, wherein one side will handle compression damping and the other will do the rebound damping. However, both motorcycles will get a new two-piece frame, the report adds.
